Banks Vernonia Trail Bike trip- temporarily while we wait for Columbia Gorge to reopen
- Duration: 5 Hours (approx.)
- Location: Portland, OR
- Product code: PVHE1N
The Banks-Vernonia Trail is a local treasure, and a fun and easy bike route. The well-paved trail was built over the former bed of a rail system connecting the lumber towns of Banks and Vernonia. Trust our cyclist guides who want to show off this awesome state-park run system. The total trail length is 24 miles, but there are many access points and some tours have only gone 8 miles. It all depends on timing. There is a longer and more scenic drive out, with views of Forest Park, Sauvie's Island, the St. John's Bridge, and the Columbia Slough, but a short drive back where napping is encouraged.
We will be in communication with you if the Columbia River Highway reopens.
